The trickle-down effects of our weak economy, coupled with proposed changes in state and federal legislations left Edgewater and other towns with funding uncertainties. Nevertheless, with difficult challenges came opportunities and working collectively with my Democratic council colleagues, Edgewater has prevailed. Municipal taxes are stable; all town services remain secure and the Borough still enjoys an AA3 Bond Rating. The residences of Edgewater deserve a fiscally responsible and environmentally conscience government. While 2010 will be just as challenging as 2009, the Edgewater Democratic council members will work hard and continue to strive to achieve the common goals of Edgewater taxpayers.
